The New 2012 Colibri Eclipse Lighter

The Colibri Eclipse Lighter is a new addition to the companies line of lighters. Colobri has been in the business of producing lighters since 1928. When first starting out they made high end semi-automatic lighters. The company was started in a small workshop before growing into a world wide brand, offering everything from jewelry to pens to smoking accessories.

The Colibri company was grown by investors that pushed the currant technologies to the limit while keeping focus on design and usability. Today the company has added the focus of craftsmanship and creating affordable lighters in all price ranges.

Today we will be looking at this well known companies new Eclipse. We will cover packaging, look, feel and craftsmanship. This is a straight forward and like Fox News, you can make up your own mind.

Let’s take a look at the Eclipse lighter that I have here in my hands. This is the first edition to the line.

This is the way Colibri Eclipse lighter came packaged. Gift like, not sure if this is the way they all come or just how they sent it to me. Nice though keeping in line with the Eclipse theme.

The above photo is the actual box this lighter came in. Very colorful going the opposite of the Eclipse theme. Looking at the box it looks like multiple colors will be released.

The colorful box slides off to a white box with the Colibri mark and 1928 under the name. My first edition lighter as it sits in the box. Flat black with chrome coated trigger. Sits in foam with a thin piece of foam on top (not in picture).

Front and back photos of the Eclipse lighter by Colibri. Nice, sleek and basic (first addition). The click is very easy and everything is smooth.

Overall this lighter does not feel cheap and seems to well built. The look of my black is sleek but basic but would like to get my hands on a Neptune Blue. The color of the other lighters are high def like really popping out. The trigger works well and catches the eye with the shine off the trigger. Colibri is known for lighters in all price ranges. I would agree that this is a mid range lighter that will last but not priced to scare me away.
