Review: Padron Serie 1926 No. 6 Maduro

Padron_Serie_1926.gifSome of the guys in the forum have been talking about this cigar. Even though $14.50 is not really in my range I have went crazy the past couple of days picking this up along with a couple Opus X. So I sit up here in Chicago (Michigan City to be exact) drooling over this cigar watching IFL (International Fight League ). It looks dark and smooth built like a champ. No flaws that I see at all and it’s even hard to see where the cap ends. This box pressed cigar looks like a stuffed candy bar.

Country: Nicaragua
Length/Ring: 4 3/4 x 50

Prelight: A draw and lick had a deep tobacco spice taste to it. This should be good.

First 1/3: Right off the bat the spice kicks in and you feel it in the back of the throat. The draw is firm but nice with a good amount of smoke. The spice is not as much as I expected but is suitable for me. The burn is good and the ash is even better, nice, firm and white with a little pepper.

2/3: The ash lasted the first third of the cigar only dropping off with a soft tap. The smoke from this cigar just makes your mouth water. It starts to thicken up on the pallet and I think some coffee bean but I’m no good with detecting things like that. I just know what I like.

The Finish: This thing can get you a little dizzy toward the end. No harshness at all throughout this smoke. For a 4 3/4 x 50 size this thing goes forever, not that I’m complaining! Total smoke time was an hour thirty! I think this a good size for this cigar.

Over all I seen no errors in this thing. From construction to burn this smoke was outstanding. It put me in a small trance and with the windows not opening in this hotel put a small ass whoop-in on me. This is no smoke for someone just getting into cigars. Better to pick one up and throw it in the humi, time in the humi will do nothing but make this thing better. But it is a must try. This one will make it to the top of your list.
