New Cigar CAO America
Tweet
What better day to announce a new cigar called America than on Independence Day? CAO announced today that the new America cigar will make its debut at the RTDA 75th Annual Convention and International Trade Show in Houston Texas. The American will be a full body smoke that sports two American-grown wrapper leaves, one Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and one Connecticut Shade. Inside there is a Brazilian binder and 100% ligero filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Italy, U.S.A., and the Dominican Republic. They will be available in three shapes, Potomac (5″ x 56), the torpedo-shaped Monument (6 1/4″ x 54), and Landmark (6″ x 60).

Cool! It’s just a shame that they didn’t release these in time for the fourth. It was hard for me to determine what would be an appropriate smoke for the fourth. I know the one I selected wasn’t, but it would have make Castro crack a smile.
You gotta hand it CAO, nobody in the cigar world is as savvy as they are when it comes to marketing and product appearance. It’s nearly impossible not to have your eyes drawn to their cigars no matter where they’re hidden in the humidor!
You smoked a dictator’s cigar on the birthday of our free country? That’s just not right, I can see tears dropping from Lady Liberty’s face… Oh well, enough of that.
I can’t wait to get me hands on this cigar, maybe it is the appearance but I have high hopes for this one. I just hope they are in my range of funds…
Yeah, retrospectively, kind of a bad pick, huh? Well, as luck would have it, it was a little funky (not nearly as nice as the pyramide) and made me a slightly green. I probably had that coming.
I’m really looking forward to it too. Provided it isn’t priced like a Vision, I may have to pick up a box just so I have a good smoke for the next 4th, veterans day, etc.
[...] it and read up on either one of the many bloggers that first reported it (I first saw it reported by Stinkie over on CigarBeat), or you saw it on the newly redesigned CAO website itself. So why on earth am I bother to post [...]
