Anyone can now rate the cigar or product on that post. You can also thumb up/down comments. Search through the review index page and rate some cigars to try it out. I'm also still looking for anyone that would like to review cigars on the site. I want to try to get back doing them but want to give others a chance to share their thoughts. Soon we will have member blogs for all.

Minds Changed For Indoor smoking ban

Wow, never seen this happen before. Story from kob.com

An Albuquerque city councilor now says his proposal for a complete indoor smoking ban, including in cigar bars, went too far.

Councilor Michael Cadigan says he was trying to protect businesses in strip malls that sit next door to cigar and smoke shops. He also wanted to discourage hookah bars from setting up shop in Albuquerque.

Cadigan says hookah bars only encourage a younger crowd to pick up the smoking habit. Additionally, he says businesses around smoke shops have to deal with second-hand smoke.

The councilor says he has decided to drop the smoking ban proposal after it received an unenthusiastic response. (Read more)

It’s about time that cooler heads prevail on this issue! Now if only we can get a few of those heads in California. . .

This really threw me off Carleen. I guess he caved to the pressure. I’m afraid that Cali is gone forever. I don’t think even the most level headed people could save that state. A state you can buy pot but not smoke a fine cigar. What do they roll their weed in anyway? We always used cigar wrappers (back in the day) :)

WOW! That is a start. In BC (Canada), they just passed a law a few months ago that smoking is banned everywhere. Even on patios of restaurants! I believe their should be a choice or some designated places where people can enjoy some cigars with their family and friends over some nice wine and a fine meal. I think these ridiculous smoking bans are getting out of hands. Smoking is a choice that adults make and their should be adequate places for people to enjoy it. Looks like people running Albuquerque are finally coming to their sense.

Jibran- Being a Canadian citizen you guys have been hosed for years. I really feel for my Canadian friends. Freedom of choice is being taken away everywhere and it is a sad thing.
