Anyone can now rate the cigar or product on that post. You can also thumb up/down comments. Search through the review index page and rate some cigars to try it out. I'm also still looking for anyone that would like to review cigars on the site. I want to try to get back doing them but want to give others a chance to share their thoughts. Soon we will have member blogs for all.

Killer Beans And SCOOP

Killer Beans Coffee Sitting here at CVG I just found out my flight was delayed (surprising isn’t it), sitting here trying to ignore the lady twenty feet away yelling at her phone I started thinking of my weeks events so far. I started off driving up to Chicago for a monthly meeting but stopped to visit Jerry at Killer Beans first since it was only three miles off of I-65. I was expecting to walk into an open and full coffee shop and get a cup of joe. If Jerry was around I was going to say hi and introduce myself. When I walked in Jerry was walking out (didn’t know it at the time) and I walked into a construction zone so I walk out. When I walked out Jerry told me the coffee was on, to go get a cup and he would be right in. So I did just that, a cup of Caribbean to be exact. I introduced myself and after a couple minutes of small talk he gave me a tour around his new place. From the coffee shop in the front to the living area in the back it was a very impressive place for sure. He did tell me that he will be changing the name from Killer Beans to  K. Dees Coffee. I was told the Killer Beans line will make a come back once or twice a year. Before I left I wanted to pick up some coffee to take home with me. Just a half pound for myself as that will last me a while. I also wanted to pick up a couple pounds for a benefits Halloween party my wife is having for SCOOP (more on this later). I told him how they have dances and parties for their “charity” (more on the “” later too) and how I put up a cigar sampler for raffle. I thought that some Killer Beans would be a good raffle and was going to take two pounds for that. I told him to pick four half pounds of his best sellers for me and to throw them in the box. Once he boxed everything up for me he would not take the money for the two pounds, advertisement he says. Well hell, that was cool of him and I thought it needed to be pointed out. Please visit Killer beans if you need some good coffee.

scoop My wife, her sister along with four others run a charity called SCOOP. When I first heard about it the first thing I thought of was PETA and I hate PETA (what an asshole right?). And since I have transformed my wife from city slicker to almost Redneck I was disappointed. Well after hearing all the facts (since I’m a fact driven person) I gave my OK and told her I would do what I could to help even though I’m not a cat guy. SCOOP is a licensed non-profit organization that saves cats that have been left for dead or mistreated and adopts them out to good families. They also pay for neuter (Jerry calls this deballed) and spays to help stop the over breading of them.  If you would like to donate to SCOOP you have a couple of choices. You can use PayPal to make a donation. Please put SCOOP in the subject and the money will go straight to SCOOP. Or you can send a cigar or two and contribute to the sampler I will be making up(email me for SCOOPS address). If you live in the Cincinnati area let me know if you would be interested in coming to the Halloween party. $20 gets you all the beer you can drink along with other things but I figure the beer is the most important thing, you can reserve a table for eight or more.

This is the first premium coffee I tried in my French Press. The Nicaraguan Knife Fight is my favorite.

These were my first premium full bean coffee. I have only had the Caribbean Cut-Throat to date but have some Venezuelan Vendetta to try once I finish up the Caribbean.
