Half Review: PIO RESURRECTION Toro
On my way home from work yesterday I fired up a PIO Resurrection. This cigar is made in Miami Florida by PIO Cigars Alberto Medina. I really enjoyed this smoke’s good burn, great draw, flavors and sexy white ash. What’s the down side you ask? Well the PIO Resurrection Series production will be limited to just 500 numbered boxes for the National market.
My 2 hour drive flew by as I enjoyed this cigar. The PIO web site doesn’t have much up on this cigar but I would recommend it. Tex Cigars has the Resurrection in box or 5-packs. I’m really becoming a fan of PIO, I also really enjoy the Overture Series.

Here is some company information on PIO from their site:
PIO began in 1996 with hand rolled cigars at our Little Havana factory, Little Havana is nationally recognized for manufacturing some of the highest quality cigars outside of Cuba. Due to the high influx of Cubans in Miami, they have brought with them the old techniques and qualities of hand rolled cigars found in Cuba. At the present time we are manufacturing again in Miami Florida, the best place out of Cuba in quality and knowledge of cigars.
More than 60% of the brands in the market today depend on only about six factories that are currently located in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
PIO Cigar Company has produced its own cigar for more than 14 years in Miami Florida, producing no more than 600 boxes a month for the national market. It is a real boutique cigar. Most brands use the term “boutique” when in fact they produce over 3000 boxes a month.
